Makeup Removers
Are you one of those individuals that no matter what you do when applying makeup you still have that thicker chin or double chin that detracts from your appearance? Of course to others your chin may be just fine, but vanity often gets the better of us, so we like to conceal what we can. If you are looking to conceal that double chin to offer a more flattering look for yourself and others there are a few make up tips you can follow.
There are three methods to hiding a thick or double chin. You can use blush, foundation, or a concealer. If you are using any of these three materials you will want to cover the offending area. In other words, don’t just apply the make up in a thin line instead cover the entire area that appears thick as you taper off at the end. You will start at the underside of your chin with any of the three makeup products mentioned. It only takes one so keep that in mind. Most usually blush works to your best advantage, but more on that in a moment. When you start you will begin at the point of your chin and work your way down until you reach your neck. If, your chin becomes thinner, as you go you can use this to your advantage. Apply the makeup product in a tapering shape in other words. If the thickness continues towards your ears make sure that you apply the makeup product towards this area as well.
Above I mentioned that blush works the best. The reason for this is the color. You will want a thicker blush than you use on your cheeks. This blush will then allow you to cover the area, while still appearing natural. With concealer or foundation you are going to find that the color doesn’t always appear natural to the look you are trying to get with hiding the chin. However, again the concealer or foundation does need to be a little darker than what you have used on your face.
The idea is that you are creating light and shadow. If your neck appears darker, you will find that the chin will appear less thick because the face is lighter and therefore more noticeable. Your chin is usually in a shadow when you hold your head at its proper height. This means of course that the natural shadow can be used to your advantage with a little help from the makeup.
You can of course try out each of the makeup products to find out what works for you based on these makeup tips. Also keep in mind that the darker the color the more you will find that it does not work in the way you would like it. In other words choose a color that is a shade or two darker, but don’t apply it very thick. The idea is to apply the makeup so that it looks natural, and not to appear as though you have been trying to cover up something.
